Refrigerated cargo vessel "Dunay"

LIST OF VESSELS

The ship was built in 1941 under the name "Hoy" for the Royal Navy of Great Britain. Belonged to the class of naval trawlers - Isles-Class Trawler. This type included 145 vessels built during the Second World War. Another 52 vessels were built in almost identical subtypes Dance, Tree and Shakespearian. In 1946, "Hoy" was transferred under the Soviet flag and received the name "Dunay". The naval trawler was converted into a refrigerated cargo vessel. In 1948, a new main engine was installed (a steam engine of triple expansion was replaced with an internal combustion engine). In the 70-80s, the "Dunay" was decommissioned and was left into the shallow in Nakhodka, where apparently was later disposed of.
