USA built cargo vessels


 In the late twenties the Joint-stock Company of Kamchatka bought in the USA several same transport steamships which were renamed into "Kamchatka", "Lamut", "Tungus", "Yukagir" and "Jakut". "Kamchatka" in 1928 was converted in a floating crab canning plant, other steamships worked as cargo vessels. In 1931 "Lamut", "Tungus" and "Yukaghir" transferred to the Vladivostok and as welLaid as Kamchatka were converted to crab canning plants. In the late thirtieths two more vessels were bought.
