  In 1954 passenger-cargo vessel "Fryderyk Chopin" was converted to a mother base. In 1957 she was renamed as "Kaszuby". In 1973 she became a training vessel "Kapitan K. Maciejewicz" for sea lyceum in Szczecin.
Purpose of the vessel:     - receiving of fresh and solted fish from fishing boats
    - production of salted fish
    - supply of fishing ships with fuel, water, provisions, medical service
