 Six submersibles of this design were built at Leningrad. Depending of the task they can be operated under one of two modes, the submerged towage mode or the hydrostatic mode. Submersibles is equipped whith a radio and telephone communication, automatic camera with a flash, and can transmit video information on board of a support vessel.
 In 1990 additionally were delivered four modernized submersibles of "Tetis-N" type.
Purpose of the vessel:     - search and recording of fishery objects, and prediction and estimation of their stock
    - maintaining control over trawl operations
    - underwater teleshooting, filming and photography
